Ambassador Hai was trained as an actuary in the United Kingdom with 15 years of international experience in FTSE100 companies. She served previously as Vice President and Chief Actuary for Zurich Financial Services in China, and a Partner in Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group in London. She has BA in actuarial science and MSc in actuarial management from CASS Business School in London and EMBA from INSEAD and Tsinghua University.
Ambassador Hai was named a 2015 Global Young Leader by World Economic Forum and received the 2015 African Business Icon Award. She is on the committee of Global Commission on Business and Sustainable Development.
Li PanChief Industrialization Officer Pan Li is industrialization advisor to Ethiopia, Djibouti, Senegal, Ivory Coast，Mali and Rwanda government. With Pan’s support, Ethiopia has attracted more than Pan has over 25 years of experience in industrialization and SEZ development. He is one of the very few knowledgeable people in the industry in China and is held at a very high regard in the industry.
Prior to joining MIAI, he has been the President of Beijing Airport Comprehensive Free Trade Zone (BAFTZ) from 2004 to 2007.

Hannah RyderInternational Development Director Hannah is a Kenyan-British former diplomat and economist based in Beijing, and brings to the team 15 years of high-profile, hands-on policy, research, and management experience from around the world. This includes setting up and running businesses in several countries, 2 years leading a 20-plus UN team supporting Chinese foreign aid and cooperation, and 6 years bolstering effective appraisal, design and evaluation of global development cooperation – including UK aid private sector programmes in Ethiopia, Nigeria, Indonesia and Korea.
Zhaogang QianChief Investment promotion Director Qian is Chief Investment Promotion Director to Made in Africa Initiative. He leads the investment promotion strategy and investor perception activities.
He was the Counselor of the Commercial Counselor’s Office of China’s Embassy in Ethiopia, Deputy Director of Chonqing Foreign Trade Commission. Qian has over 30 years expertise on international commercial management, accumulated abundant experiences on investment promotion, international industrial capacity cooperation, international construction contracting, as well as Manufacturing sector in China.
Athena YuCO-Founder Athena has expertise in market research, international development strategy and industrial zone development strategy with operational experience in 6 Sub-Saharan Africa countries. Now she leads MIAI’s project operation and communication activities.
Prior to joining MIAI, Athena has worked in a global leading consulting firm and has served as Marketing and overseas investment supervisor in Chinese leading state-owned infrastructure corporation. She holds MSc from London School of Economics and Political Science.
Matt LiuDeputy Investment promotion Director Mr. Matt Liu has over 8 years of consulting experience in sustainable development and investment management field from global leading retail and financial service companies in both Australia and China. Prior joining MIAI, he was the managing director of a private hospitality business for 5 years internationally which has successfully lead the business to expand its capacity across the country.
He was graduated from The University of Sydney, Australia with a Bachelor degree in Marketing & Economics and Master degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations Management.
Iris DuChief Operation Officer Iris Du has 5 years of international trade and business experience from a world fortune top 500 company. Prior to MIAI, she was a consultant in a multi-business holding group specialized in high-end business platform to facilitate African economic and cultural cooperation with extensive experience running business in Africa.
She was graduated from The University of International Business and Economics in China with a master degree in international business management.
